What tracking statuses mean
Couriers use dozens of different phrases. These are the statuses ShipTrack groups them into, with what to expect and when to act.
- Label created
The sender has created the shipment. The courier hasn’t picked it up yet.
- Waiting for courier
The courier has the details but hasn’t scanned the parcel yet.
- In transit
The parcel is moving through the courier’s network.
- Out for delivery
The parcel is on the van and should arrive today.
- Delivered
The courier has recorded the delivery.
- Needs attention
Something has slowed the delivery: a missed attempt, an address problem or a customs check. Read the latest event.
- Returned to sender
The parcel is on its way back to the sender.
- Cancelled
The shipment has been cancelled by the sender or the courier.
